President Donald Trump ended DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) on September 5, 2017  with an executive order, one of the cruelest things he has done since taking office in January. The DACA program was formed through executive order by President Barack Obama in 2012. It allows certain people called Dreamers, who came to the U.S illegally as minors, to be protected from deportation.

They can apply if they’re under 31 on June 15, 2012 and came to the U.S before turning 16. Recipients are able to request “consideration of deferred action” for a period of two years which is subject to renewal. You can find more details on the website CNN.News it tells you everything you need to know. President Trump gave the congress 6 months to decide if they’re going to fight for daca or if their going to end it..

He ended a lot of careers, he took away the possibility to a lot of hispanics to work and study and be someone in life including me.

I came to the U.S as an immigrant, i’m part of the DACA program I had barely applied this year 2017 on June I paid for everything now i’m just waiting for my permit to come on the mail. When I heard the news it was devastating for me because I thought that I had no more opportunities. I’m young I want to be able to study and go to college after high school I wanna be able to work for myself and not ask anyone for anything. So when I heard the news I called my lawyer and asked him what’s going to happened with my case luckily i was on time to applied and i will get my permit .

There are so many young people that applied for it, each one of them have there own dream. Trump took away all of their dreams and careers, now they’re all scared what’s gonna happened next. President Trump has and never will like the immigrants here in the U.S he has never cared how they live or how hard working all hispanics are.

Nearly 800,000 undocumented youth are in the program DACA. Thousands of young people could lose their jobs. The Dream Act would have offered those who came to the U.S as children the opportunity to potentially gain permanent legal residency.
